*The patented, hybrid dry/semi-dry calcium-based system does away with all the problems of traditional slurry systems by eliminating slurry transfer pumps, tanks and instrumentation, resulting in an extremely low maintenance system that is truly simple! Injected in a once-through spray tower where the slurry is sprayed through two-fluid spray lances, and comes into contact with the gas stream, neutralizing the acid gas component of the gas stream at high efficiencies. The system can be used in all-dry mode during periods requiring lower injection rates and can be seamlessly switched to semi-dry mode on the fly when the process requires higher reduction efficiencies. This is particularly well suited to processes like cement, where there is an increased need for hydrated lime injection rates during mill-off (direct operation).
